Sam Englebardt was appointed to our Board of Directors on March 16, 2022. Mr. Englebardt is a media and technology investor and content producer who has created, acquired and/or financed a broad range of traditional and digital businesses and dozens of video games, films and television shows over the past two decades. He is a Co-Founder and Partner at Galaxy Digital and the founding General Partner of Galaxy’s Interactive division, a venture capital fund focused on spatial computing infrastructure, video game studios and interactive content, generative art and culture, social platforms and decentralized financial marketplaces. He is also co-founder and Partner at Galaxy Digital (TSX: GLXY), a technology-driven financial services and investment management firm that provides institutions and clients with a full suite of financial solutions spanning the digital assets ecosystem. From 2017 to 2018, Mr. Englebardt was Partner and Managing Director at Galaxy Investment Partners.
Prior to Galaxy, Englebardt was a Partner and Managing Director at Lambert Media Group (LMG), where he helped sourced and managed a portfolio of media-sector private equity investments including i Rave Cinemas, Gold Class Cinemas and Demarest Films and managed a portfolio of early-stage media tech venture investments. He also previously served as Vice President and Financial Advisor at Alliance Bernstein and is a licensed attorney in California.
